Tim Ledbetter is an accomplished leader in the field of automation and mining technology with over two decades of experience. He currently serves as Vice President of Operations for Epiroc’s Surface Division, where he spearheads the production of cutting-edge automation solutions, including advanced mining drill automation.

Throughout his career, Tim has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise across a variety of roles. From his time as General Manager of ASI Mining, where he streamlined leadership structures and secured major automation projects, to his tenure as Engineering Manager of Automation at Epiroc, Tim has consistently driven innovation and operational efficiency. He led the successful launch of autonomous drilling projects in BHP’s Western Australia Iron Ore operations and managed patent activities for multiple breakthrough technologies in mining automation.

Tim's background includes significant achievements in engineering and project management, having overseen large-scale new product development projects during his time with Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions. His work on the Pit Viper series is especially notable, leading to multiple patents and major advancements in product performance. Earlier in his career, Tim held roles in quality management and production, where he implemented systems that drastically reduced defects and improved supplier quality.
