Bravus Mining and Resources:
Bravus Mining and Resources is a Queensland mining company headquartered in Townsville and with offices in Rockhampton and Mackay. The business owns the open cut Carmichael thermal coal mine in the North Galilee Basin, approximately 160 kilometres northwest of the town of Clermont.
More than 1,200 people are engaged in permanent roles at Carmichael to produce in the order of 10 million tonnes of high-quality coal each year. All the coal mined at Carmichael is for export, and nations in the Asia Pacific region use Carmichael coal in tandem with renewables to provide the baseload power needed as they industrialise and their citizens seek a modern lifestyle with reliable energy for refrigeration, employment, consumer goods, and luxuries.
Bravus Mining and Resources' sister businesses in Australia encompass solar energy, port operations, and rail operations. As part of the global Adani Group we're at the forefront of providing a sustainable energy mix that lifts people overseas out of poverty - all while providing jobs and economic investment here at home, and that's something we're proud of.
