Dan Gleeson, Editor, International Mining; Director, International Mining Events

Dan Gleeson has been covering the mining and metals space for over 15 years; in the process reporting on almost every angle possible - exploration, investment, regulation, metal pricing and, most recently, technology and equipment. Over this time, he has visited numerous mine sites and OEM facilities in North America, South America, Europe and Africa.

He has held the position of Editor of International Mining for almost seven years, building on the global mining technology publication’s print and online audience, as well as establishing a number of different outlets for news, interviews and features, including a large social media presence. 

Outside of his work on the publication, his role at International Mining Events - the event-focused spinoff of International Mining - has involved devising a mining fleet-focused global mine electrification event, The Electric Mine. This event has gone from a 150-person, 1.5-day conference to a 900-plus-attendees, 3-day international conference and exhibition featuring insights from first movers and innovators. Its most recent iteration is The Electric Mine 2025, taking place in May, in Santiago, Chile.
